Art Directors Guild represents at 2015 ComiCon

Screen Shot 2015-07-08 at 1.19.57 AMAn organization that embodies the talent and skills of over 2,000 individuals throughout the world; practicing their craft within the film industry, theater and other artists exercising their various skills in composition of various forms will be opening their experiences and knowledge up to the fans at ComiCon at 12 pm, Saturday, in room 23ABC.

Darren Gilford, designer of Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens and Tron: Legacy, will be partnering up with production designer, Ed Verreaux, of Jurrasic World and Looper to discuss their experiences within the industry and pursuing their careers within the industry.

From television, production designer, Greg Melton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Walking Dead) and John Mott (12 Monkeys – SyFy show and The Americans).

Moderation will be conducted by John Muto and the panel will be followed by an opportunity to get autographs from these talented people.

Additional talents include:

“The Art Directors Guild Illustrators panel features some of the most talked about movies of recent past and near future and some of the longest titles.  Ed Natividad was conceptual vehicle designer on the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dan of Justice and conceptual designer on Transformers: Age of Extinction, while Amy Lynn Umezu is a storyboard artist on Kong: Skull Island and also on this years Insurgent.  Patrick Rodriguez worked on The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2, and Jeffrey Errico was storyboard artist on this years Terminator Genisys and Straight Outta Compton.  Tim Burgard, whose latest credits include Jurassic World and Fantastic Four, will moderate this panel,” at 12:30 on Sunday in room 23ABC, according to the press release.

The Art Directors Guild just recently closed acceptance for this years applications for future members.  Availability was made for 11 individuals who were selected among the many hopefuls to participate in a strenuous immersive program that would welcome these talents into the guild and potentially find their path within the organization.  Should you have any interest in such an endeavor there will be another opportunity next year.
